Job summary

Sage-Haus in Richmond, TX is seeking a dedicated Family Assistant / House Manager to support a busy household with two children and a large dog. This part-time role focuses on childcare backup, meal prep, household organization, errands, and light housekeeping.

Ideal candidates are proactive, reliable, and comfortable in a fragrance-free home; CPR/First Aid is a plus. Occasional travel may be required; must be US-authorized to work.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Reliable personal transportation is required.
• Comfortable around a large dog.
• Able to navigate multiple flights of stairs.
• Fragrance-free or low fragrance preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide light supervision and backup childcare after school.
• Support children's after-school activity schedules.
• Occasional extended evening support up to once per month.
• Occasional overnight supervision as backup (once or twice per year).
• Prepare two family dinners per week and assist with meal prep.
• Household organization and maintenance tasks including resets and basic upkeep.
• Manage laundry and linens; organize storage areas.
• Run errands and manage pantry/shopping orders.
• Coordinate vendor repairs and oversee cleaners/contractors as needed.
• Care for a large dog and assist with pet care as needed.
