Qualifications

• Age 21+ at appointment.
• Education/Experience must meet one of: 9 college credits with 3.0+ GPA or two years of verifiable work experience.
• Active Basic Peace Officer license from TCOLE at appointment or eligibility for academy enrollment.

Responsabilités

• Emergency Response: respond to 911 calls, provide basic EMS, conduct initial investigations and prepare reports.
• Proactive Policing and Community Support: patrols, traffic enforcement, security checks, and training participation.
• Specific Department Necessities: dog pound care, animal control, jail activities, fingerprinting and feeding prisoners.
• Homeless Outreach and Mental Health Assistance: respond to homeless/mental health calls and transport as needed.
• Criminal Prosecution and Reporting: file warrants, complete offense reports, testify in court, assist outside agencies.
