Job summary

Checkr is seeking a Drug & Occupational Health Screening Specialist in Nashville to move candidate screenings forward. You will own an assigned queue, coordinate with clinics, and perform outreach to prevent escalations while partnering with Customer Success, Vendor Management, and Product to resolve cases.

The role emphasizes HIPAA awareness, strong problem-solving, and a bias for action in a fast-paced environment with Checkr hub locations including Nashville.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a customer-facing, vendor-facing, or coordination-heavy role.
• Experience in clinic, drug and occupational health, or background-screening a plus.
• Comfortable on the phone for extended periods.
• HIPAA awareness and sound judgment about PII/PHI sharing in clinic conversations.
• Strong problem-solving skills and comfort operating in ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Action an assigned queue of at-risk drug/OHS reports and determine outreach.
• Proactively notify customers on canceled reports, TAT-breaching cases, and other at-risk statuses.
• Call clinics directly to push stalled results or missing documentation.
• Send scheduling and status nudges to candidates for defined outreach triggers.
• Document deviations from SOP and outline resolutions to improve processes.
• Identify recurring failure points and flag them as process gaps.
