Job summary

Texas Inter-Faith Management/40i, McKinney, TX, is seeking a full-time Assistant Maintenance Technician. The role requires proactive, reliable individuals with HVAC/EPA experience and a background in apartment maintenance, plumbing and electrical work.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as an apartment maintenance technician or similar role.
• Experience in plumbing, electrical repair, painting, appliance repair and drywall.
• Self-starter and able to work independently.
• Must have valid driver's license, insurance and car registration if driving for business purposes.
• Ability to be on-call and on the property on short notice when needed.
• HVAC Certified, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Make repairs and perform daily maintenance of buildings and mechanical equipment installed inside.
• Coordinate all preventive maintenance work by fulfilling the daily work orders and preparing plans.
• Prepare vacant units for new tenants in a timely manner.
• Plumbing fixture replacement.
• Electrical repairs and light fixture replacements.
• Sheetrock repairs and interior painting.
• HVAC/EPA maintenance.
• Carpentry repairs (cabinet and doors).
• Troubleshooting all work orders, maintaining/ cleaning grounds and common areas.
• Monitor and inspect building systems, report unsafe areas.
• Maintain OSHA safety standards.
• Maintain hazardous materials safely.
• Assist with preventive maintenance including pools and fitness equipment.
• Respond to service requests within 24 hours.
• Maintain inventory of tools and supplies.
• Ensure cleanliness, safety, and overall functionality of buildings.
