Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is hiring a Maintenance Technician for our Detroit Lakes plant, on the first shift (6:00 AM - 2:00 PM with potential overtime). This role maintains a variety of machines, equipment and forklifts, building a strong, safety‑minded team focused on reliability and uptime.

Ideal candidates have a HS diploma or GED, basic electrical/PLC knowledge, welding ability, and inventory management experience.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED; secondary education preferred.
• Proactive maintenance mindset with ability to follow safety protocols.
• Willingness to work 6:00am – 2:00pm with flexibility for overtime or later hours.
• Strong attention to detail and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and/or perform routine maintenance on equipment.
• Keep a list of assets and maintenance records.
• Maintain inventory of repair parts, tools, and lubricants.
• Communicate maintenance status with managers and operators.
• Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns with operators.
• Some travel may be required.
• Project planning for large maintenance projects and coordination with outside support.
• Build good relationships with vendors and support programs.
