The Department of Education Studies offers undergraduate, master's,and doctoral programs to a diverse student body. Our licensure anddegree programs prepare professionals to use the bestresearch-based practices to teach children and adult learners. Forundergraduates who are interested in becoming elementary orsecondary teachers, EDST offers BA/BS and Secondary Certificateprogram pathways to achieve the goal of becoming a teacher. UOTeachCurriculum and Teaching is the teacher licensure master's programfor initial licensure in both Elementary Multiple Subjects andMiddle/High School Education. The faculty in the Department ofEducation Studies is very diverse in terms of research interestsand specializations, with award recognition for scholarship,teaching, and service. Our programs are known for a strong focus onequity, diversity, and inclusion.
The University of Oregon's Education Studies Department (EDST) inthe College of Education seeks to create a pool of qualifiedcandidates to fill periodic vacancies for Practicum Supervisors.Practicum Supervisors provide individual and group coaching andfeedback on lesson planning and instruction for teacher candidatesin the UOTeach licensure and master's program during practicum andstudent teaching experiences.
Positions are limited-duration appointments potentially renewablefor up to a total of three years. Appointment level varies, basedon supervisory load. Hours vary depending on the schedules ofstudents under supervision. Travel to field placement sites at local K-12 schools and the University of Oregon is required.
