OverviewThe Pro Shop Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of one or more golf facilities (2) - Pebblebrook GC and Stardust GC.

- Professional Golf Association member in good standing or extensive background in golf course management.
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university in business or recreation field
- An equivalent combination of education and experience equaling a minimum of five years may can be substituted for educational requirement.
- Must have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis on Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word.
- Knowledge of Paycom and TEI programs a plus.
- Two years' supervisory experience in a golf operations environment required.
- Specific knowledge related to golf course operations including course conditions, golf leagues, marketing functions with golf events required.
Essential Responsibilities(This list is not intended to detail all aspects of the assigned work but is representative of the job's overall responsibilities.)
- In-depth knowledge and management of all aspects of the pro-shop environment including but not limited to golf fees, golf cart rentals, driving range, practice areas, merchandising, food, and beverage concessions in compliance with federal and state laws.
- Participate in the selection of staff for assigned area, interviewing, hiring; provide or coordinate staff training; conduct annual performance evaluations and present wage increase recommendations; work with employees to correct deficiencies; implement discipline procedures using current policy and guidelines.
- Preservation and oversight of the facility's general appearance, being sure to identify any potential issues or unsafe conditions and working with other departments as needed to provide corrective actions. Manages facilities and activities in accordance with all County Health and Safety Standards using daily site and space inspections.
- Plan, direct, and coordinate the department's work plans and goals, objectives, policies, and procedures; meet with staff to identify and resolve problems; assign projects and programmatic areas of responsibility; review and evaluate work methods and procedures.
- Utilizing the HRIS system to create shift schedules reviews and approves bi-weekly time off and sick time requests, payroll, and timecard transactions.
- Trains staff on handling cash transactions requiring the ability to handle paper and coin monies and count back change, the proper use of POS; ensure transactions are entered accurately including voiding, correcting, and troubleshooting systems with the help of both the accounting and IT departments.
- Oversee daily cash transactions; prepares end-of-day reporting and makes secure bank deposits. Communicate with the accounting team to manage any discrepancies and POS issues.
- Performs inventory control and purchasing for the Pro Shops including reconciliations within the TEI system.
- Adheres to and manages each site's annualized budget. Under the guidance of the Golf Operations Manager and in conjunction with the budget, prepares purchase requests and monitors expenditures for each site to include purchase requests for food and beverage operations and manages inventory and ordering of all supplies.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence, communicate both orally and in writing effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
- Acts as the liaison with golf clubs at assigned courses and ensures that course policies, procedures and rules are explained to all players and their guests.
- Impeccable customer service and social perceptiveness includes the ability to evaluate customer satisfaction and responsiveness, and pivot service as needed.
- Respond to and resolve difficult and sensitive resident inquiries and complaints. Responsible for reporting all Incident Reports quickly, effectively utilizing appropriate documentation and elevating to the General Managers attention as needed.
- Maintains a consistent record of onsite acceptable attendance and punctuality according to policy guidelines and can work a flexible work schedule when needed.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS- Maintain a valid Arizona driver's license and good driving record for insurance purposes.
- Obtain and maintain a Food Handlers Card within 30 days of hire.
- Obtain and maintain a current and valid Arizona Title 4 Basic Liquor Law Training Certification within 30 days of hire.
- Obtain and maintain a Food Protection Manager certification.
