Qualifications, Experience and Skill Requirements:
- Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be coachable and have basic computer skills
- Must be dependable and have a strong work ethic
- Knowledge about the game of golf preferred
General Description of Duties and Responsibilities:
When acting as an "Inside" staff member
- Perform clerk/cashier duties
- Process customer reservations for guests of the golf course
- Provide customer service to arriving guests to expedite check-in
- Arrange and display golf shop inventory as necessary and directed
- Collect green and cart fees (and other revenue) from guests and process in the POS system as trained
- Maintain a clean, safe workplace
- Assist in reconciliation of cash and accounts receivable charges at the end of the day
- Ensure property and amenities are secured daily
- Assist with setup of equipment and golf carts
Perform related duties as assigned by Head Professional.
When acting as an "Outside" staff member
- Perform Starter/Ranger duties
- Welcome and greet guests and players in a friendly manner
- Explain rules and course etiquette to all groups if needed
- Wash and sanitize golf cart fleet, maintain organized storage areas and practice facility
- Assist with setup and organization of golf carts and equipment for tee times or outings
- Facilitate orderly and timely pace of play to prevent delays
- Answer questions in a friendly manner and keep records of starting times and cart numbers as necessary
- Ensure each group has four players if possible
- Pick up and clean practice balls when scheduled
- Ensure property and amenities are secured daily
