Job summary

Advance Auto Parts Inc. is seeking a Delivery Driver to pick, stage and safely deliver parts to pro customers and handle returns.

You will build relationships with MainStreet and National Pro customers, promote loyalty programs, and assist with upselling to increase transaction value. You will work in a fast-paced environment, navigate routes, stock back room, and maintain store cleanliness while following safety rules.

Qualifications

• Speak and write English (Spanish a plus)
• Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs and procedure manuals
• Use basic math accurately: add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure
• Ability to work a variety of days, evenings and weekends as needed
• Prior automotive parts experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Pick, stage and safely deliver parts to pro customers
• Pick up returns and cores
• Drop off weekly/monthly sales flyers and promote current sales and loyalty programs
• Daily collection of credit accounts
• Build and maintain relationships with MainStreet and National Pro customers
• Assist in upselling and cross-selling products to increase average transaction value
• Maintain store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting and parking lot
• General stocking including truck stocking, back stock and cycle counts
• Maintain knowledge of product inventory and new arrivals to assist with sales
• Engage with walk-in customers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate parts or services
• Other duties as assigned
