Job summary

Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia is seeking an X-ray Technician (PRN, Varied Hours/Shifts) to perform radiographic imaging and ensure patient safety in a fast-paced radiology department.

The Radiology Technologist will explain procedures, obtain histories, protect patients with proper shielding, and collaborate with physicians to provide quality diagnostic images and accurate records.

Qualifications

• ARRT-certified radiologic technologist with ARRT (R) or ARRT (R) and (CT) preferred.
• Knowledge of radiology information systems and PACS workflows.
• Familiarity with radiation safety practices and patient care standards.

Responsibilities

• Position radiographic equipment to obtain diagnostic-quality images.
• Explain procedures to patients and obtain relevant medical history.
• Ensure radiation safety measures and shield placement to protect patients.
• Maintain and calibrate X-ray equipment and document tests.
• Manage patient records and HIS/RIS data with confidentiality.
• Coordinate with radiologists and staff to ensure timely exams.
• Adhere to local, state, and national imaging protocols and regulations.
• Participate in continuing education to maintain licenses.
