Job summary

Cantex Continuing Care Network is seeking a Treatment Nurse (RN/LVN) to oversee and participate in wound care for residents at the Richardson location. This role may involve direct patient care and supervision of CNAs to maintain high standards of well-being and wound management.

Qualified candidates must hold an active Texas RN or LVN license, have a nursing school diploma, and English proficiency. Prior long-term care experience is preferred; the team emphasizes safety and quality care.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Nursing School and a current and valid license in the applicable State.
• Minimum of one-year experience in a long-term or health care setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of current wound care treatments and dressings.
• Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.

Responsibilities

• Observe, assess, treat, and document Residents' wounds according to the Resident Care Management System and applicable regulations.
• Ensure preventative measures to prevent pressure ulcers.
• Assist in data collection and documentation for Quality Assurance reports.
• Consult with Director of Nurses/Attending Physician regarding wound changes.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and ensure care plans are followed.
