Job summary

Cantex Continuing Care Network in Spring, TX is seeking a PRN Treatment Nurse (RN/LVN) to oversee wound care for residents as prescribed by the attending physician, in line with nursing standards and licensure. Candidates will provide direct care and may supervise a CNA to maintain resident well-being.

Ideal applicants have a nursing degree, current state license, and at least one year of long-term care experience, with strong wound care knowledge and English proficiency.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Nursing School with a current valid state license.
• Minimum of one year experience in a long-term or healthcare setting preferred.
• Knowledge of current wound care treatments and dressings.
• Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.

Responsibilities

• Observe, assess, treat, and document residents' wounds.
• Ensure preventive measures to prevent pressure ulcers.
• Assist in data collection for quality assurance and reports.
• Consult with Director of Nurses/Attending Physician regarding wound changes.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Ensure care plans promote wound healing.
• Notify attending physician and family of significant changes.
