Job summary

Annandale at Suwanee, Inc. is seeking a Security Officer to patrol and protect the premises, serve as the designated authority during emergencies, and monitor access for vehicles and people.

You may be required to respond to alarms and assist residents in need while following established disaster plans. The role involves coordinating monthly and quarterly fire drills, reporting daily surveillance activity, and performing related maintenance tasks.

Qualifications

• Proven experience and credentials as security officer or guard.
• Excellent surveillance and observation skills.
• Experience utilizing an electronic work order system.
• Operating a Golf cart.
• Knowledge of modern Fire panels, door alarm systems electronic access control, and CCTV camera systems.
• Crisis intervention and emergency response.
• Conflict management and ability to follow policies.
• English reading/writing proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Patrol premises regularly as directed.
• Serve as the designated person of authority in emergencies.
• Monitor and authorize entrance of vehicles or people on the property.
• Remove trespassers and seek police assistance when needed.
• Investigate suspicious activity or possessions.
• Respond to alarms following disaster plans and procedures.
• Provide assistance to people in need.
• Assist with monthly and quarterly fire drills.
• Submit reports of daily surveillance activity and important occurrences.
• May perform emergency duties requiring physical effort.
• Escort staff to and from vehicles during shift changes.
• Check fire egress and exterior lighting; ensure doors are locked.
• Test emergency phone and two-way radio at shift start.
• Perform minor maintenance tasks as required.
• Performs other duties to meet residents' needs.
