Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in the United States is seeking a Security Officer to protect residents, guests, and team members by patrolling properties, monitoring access points, and responding to incidents.

Responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, inspecting doors and windows, responding to alarms, documenting incidents, and supporting emergency procedures while maintaining safety and compliance with policies.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED required.
• 2+ years related security experience preferred.
• Strong judgment and decision-making skills.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Valid driver’s license (if required).

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine patrols of buildings, grounds, and parking areas.
• Inspect doors, windows, gates, and access points.
• Respond to alarms, security calls, and on-site emergencies.
• Investigate and document incidents or suspicious activity.
• Complete daily Security Logs and incident reports.
• Monitor fire safety, hazards, and unsecured areas.
• Assist with emergency response procedures.
• Escort residents and team members after hours.
• Support OSHA and infection control compliance.
• Secure and unlock areas per policy.
