Job summary

The Hamlet Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center at Nesconset is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join a dynamic team in a skilled nursing facility. Candidates must hold a state license, be able to evaluate and treat independently, and perform therapeutic activities to aid geriatric residents’ experience.

Responsibilities include completing assessments, initiating therapies, maintaining records, and performing a range of bedside treatments.

Qualifications

• Requires COARC-accredited AS or BS in Respiratory Therapy.
• Must be licensed as RRT or CRT and BLS certified.
• Experience with tracheotomy and in long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Complete assessments and implement respiratory therapy for various illnesses.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate and assemble equipment.
• Perform bedside treatments and complete in-services for nursing staff quarterly.
• Maintain daily, weekly and monthly documentation and participate in IDT meetings.
• Track, audit, and manage caseload; perform related duties.

Looking for a full time talented and motivated Respiratory Therapist to join our dynamic team. The position is within a Skilled Nursing facility. Candidate should possess passion for geriatric population, must contain a license in the state of practice, be able to evaluate and treat independently without direct supervision, and posses the desire to perform functional therapeutic activities to assist residents improve in their experience.

Job Description

• Completes assessments and implements Respiratory technique to maintain or rehab patient with many different Respiratory illness/diseases.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment
• Complete a variety of bedside treatments
• Complete in-services for nursing staff every quarter
• Responsible for completing daily, weekly and monthly documentation
• Attend applicable IDT meetings
• Experience with tracheotomy
• Experience is a long term care setting
• Follow procedure and protocol of facility
• Completes tracking, auditing and caseload management
• Performs related duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program. Licensed as RRT or CRT.
• Licensed in the state in which practicing BLS certification.

Salary: $48 to $52 an hour
