MU Health Care seeks a compassionate RN to join our Urgent Care team in Boonville, MO. The role involves 12-hour shifts, on-site work, and participation in triage, patient assessment and physician procedures.

Applicants should have Missouri RN licensure and at least 1 year of acute/urgent care nursing experience, with dedication to patient advocacy and education in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Missouri Board of Nursing RN or Nurse Licensure Compact multi-state RN.
• One year of nursing experience in acute care, urgent care, or emergency room setting.
• Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department.

Responsabilités

• Initial assessment and triage of patients who present to Mizzou Urgent Care.
• Monitor physiological conditions of patients and notify physician of changes.
• Prepare patients and equipment for procedures.
• Provide nursing care according to departmental standards.
• Assist physician during procedures.
• Administer intravenous and oral medications and initiate IV therapy with aseptic technique.
• Advocate for the patient at all stages of care.
• Educate patients and families about illness and treatment plan.
• Participate in life-saving measures and aid in EMS transfers.
• May complete unit/department duties as outlined.
