Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Pearland is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist PRN to perform ultrasound and radiology procedures with independent judgment. The role includes OB/GYN, abdominal, breast and vascular imaging, equipment upkeep, and travel to satellite facilities as needed.

The candidate should have an Associate degree or equivalent, BCLS within 30 days, and RDMS/ARRT-S certification. At least one year of ultrasound experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires BCLS within 30 days of start date.
• RDMS or ARRT-S certification preferred/licensed.
• Vascular RVT experience or licensure preferred.
• Associate degree or certificate or vocational training required.
• Minimum one year of ultrasound experience.

Responsibilities

• The Ultrasound Technologist performs a variety of technical procedures that require rational independent judgement, ingenuity, and initiative in performing Ultrasounds and Radiology procedures with basic departmental functions and goals.
• You will photograph images of organs shown on display module or remove strip printout from equipment to obtain permanent record of internal examination.
• You will work as a team player and meet the needs of the Ultrasound department.
• You will travel to other satellite facilities as needed for staffing requirements.
• You will maintain ultrasound equipment and report malfunctioning devices.
• You will transport patients as needed.
