Job summary

Spencer Hospital is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Sonographer to operate ultrasound equipment for high-quality diagnostic procedures. The role involves assisting radiologists, adhering to medical ethics, and delivering compassionate patient care in a community hospital setting.

The position is PRN with 9-hour day shifts and on-call rotation including weekends/holidays, requiring flexibility to support the department’s needs and patient flow.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved school of Medical Sonography.
• ARDMS registry eligible or registered.
• Registered sonographer with ARDMS.

Responsibilities

• Operate diagnostic ultrasound equipment to perform procedures at a technically proficient level.
• Provide general assistance to the radiologist in interpreting films.
• Adopt the hospital and radiology department missions in daily practice.
• Exercise professional judgment and maintain ethical conduct during services.
• Provide patient care and recognize conditions essential for successful procedures.
