Job summary

Michigan Institute of Urology is seeking a PRN Ultrasound Technologist to provide coverage at our Macomb Township location. The role supports the urology team by filling in for vacations, call-offs, and other absences. The anticipated workload is approximately 8–16 hours per week.

Responsibilities include performing ultrasound examinations, recording images for diagnostic purposes, and assisting in invasive procedures when needed. Certification and robust patient-care skills are required.

Qualifications

• Must hold an Associate degree in Ultrasound Technology.
• Experience performing ultrasound examinations is required.
• Knowledge of urologic conditions and pathologies is preferred.
• Strong clinical and patient-care skills are essential.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a clinical team.

Responsibilities

• Select and examine images, determine if the exam scope should be extended based on findings.
• Present sonograms and preliminary findings to physicians.
• Complete documentation and maintain patient records.
• Assist physicians and healthcare teams during invasive procedures.
• Maintain and clean the sonographic equipment.
• Record optimal images and transfer to PACS or disc/film for permanent records.
