Job summary

Trinity Health is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist for a part-time, per diem role in Michigan. The technologist will perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures, prepare patients, and coordinate with Radiologists and physicians to ensure high-quality imaging and patient care.

The role supports patient scheduling, image quality, and education of patients and students, while maintaining safety and inventory in the radiology department.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a two-year CAAHEP-accredited program in diagnostic medical sonography.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
• CPR certification within three months of hire.
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or RDCS for Cardiac with ARDMS credentials (OB/AB and RVT) or able to attain within 1 year.
• Must maintain registry status with CE requirements for the modality performed.
• Preferred: OB, AB and RVT registry.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree from a CAAHEP program.
• Preferred: one or more years of ultrasound experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs ultrasound procedures and operates machines in a safe and proper manner.
• Assists Radiologists with invasive procedures.
• Articulates exam results to Physicians, RNs, and patients.
• Assesses and monitors patient condition during procedures.
• Performs clerical and support functions related to ultrasound workflow.
• Instructs students on-the-job during procedures.
• Demonstrates strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Helps maintain adequate supply inventory.
