Job summary

University Health System- San Antonio seeks an Ultrasound Technologist to operate ultrasound equipment, acquire high quality diagnostic images, and assist with guided invasive procedures. The candidate should have an accredited two-year ultrasound program or an Associates Degree with advanced Doppler training, and multiple registries

Qualifications

• Graduation from a two year ultrasound program or an Associates Degree with additional in-services/training in advanced Doppler ultrasound procedures.
• Must be registered in at least two registries (ARDMS/ARRT or with staff radiologist letters)
• Bachelor's degree requires only one registry and related credential requirements

Responsibilities

• Operates Ultrasound equipment to produce high quality diagnostic images.
• Guides diagnostic and therapeutic invasive procedures using ultrasound.
• Assumes department responsibility in the absence of senior personnel.
• Supports and maintains department protocols and customer service initiatives
