Candidates should have graduated from an accredited sonography program, hold ARDMS and RVT certifications, and bring at least 2 years of ultrasound experience, with proficiency across abdominal, OB/GYN, vascular, and small parts imaging.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
• ARDMS and RVT certification required.
• Minimum 2 years ultrasound experience preferred.
• Proficiency in abdominal, OB/GYN, vascular, small parts imaging.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients and healthcare teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound examinations per protocols and physician orders.
• Operate ultrasound equipment to obtain diagnostic images with proper positioning.
• Review patient history to tailor imaging procedures.
• Ensure patient safety, comfort and confidentiality.
• Evaluate image quality and adjust for diagnostic value.
• Collaborate with radiologists and physicians for accurate results.
• Maintain accurate patient records and exam logs in PACS/RIS.
• Prepare and maintain ultrasound equipment and ensure cleanliness.
• Adhere to infection control and safety standards.
• Participate in continuing education to maintain certification.
