Job summary

Envision Imaging in Utah is seeking a PRN Ultrasound Technologist to join our team. The position pays $41.46-$49.95 per hour and includes shifts at both Bountiful and Draper locations.

The Ultrasound Technologist will perform adult and pediatric ultrasound procedures, assist Radiologists, and ensure high-quality imaging with minimal supervision. This role requires teamwork, strong patient communication, and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Two plus years’ experience in Ultrasound preferred.
• Ability to educate patients on procedures being performed.
• Detail oriented, self-motivated, a problem solver and a team player.
• Ability to excel in a very fast-pace team environment.
• Ability to continuously “exceed” company and customer expectation.

Responsibilities

• Interface with patient to ascertain medical history and provide instructions for procedure.
• Review patient charts for missed information or consent; screen for implants or allergies.
• Perform ultrasound scans and print images with appropriate patient care.
• Assist Radiologist on specialized exams.
• Transfer images to other locations as needed.
• Coordinate scan protocols with Radiologist.
• Maintain and inspect equipment; report quality concerns or failures.
• Interact with Lead Technologist and Center/Area Manager on departmental concerns.
• Other duties as assigned.

Envision Imaging is looking for PRN Ultrasound Technologist to join our team in Utah!
PRN (As-Needed) | Position Pay Range $41.46 - $49.95
Shifts available between both Bountiful and Draper locations

Summary/Objective:

Performs ultrasound procedures to adult and pediatric patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment of anatomic and physiologic disorders. Assists Radiologist during specialized exams to obtain images at a satisfactory level with minimal supervision.

Essential Functions

• Interfaces with patient to ascertain medical history and provides instructions and explanation of the procedure and/or exam to obtain the best possible image.
• Reviews patient charts for missed clinical information and/or consent. Screens patients for surgical and other implants, contrast allergies, etc.
• Performs ultrasound scans and prints images while attending to patient’s care before, during and following exam and notifies the appropriate party if patient’s condition changes at any time.
• Assists Radiologist on specialized exams.
• Transfers images to other locations as needed.
• Coordinates scan protocols with Radiologist.
• Maintains and regularly inspects equipment and immediately reports any quality concerns as well as equipment failures or deficiencies.
• Interfaces with Lead Technologist & Center/Area Manager regarding any and all departmental concerns.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervision responsibilities.

This job operates in an environmentally controlled outpatient clinical environment. Potential exposure to radiation, which is minimized by the use of Personal Protective Equipment. Possible exposure to bodily fluids, communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation and other conditions common to a medical office environment. Often requires work in cool, dimly lighted rooms.

Job Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications/Experience:

• Two plus years’ experience in Ultrasound- preferred
• Ability to educate patients on procedures being performed
• Detail oriented, self-motivated, a problem solver and a team player
• Ability to excel in a very fast-pace team environment
• Ability to continuously “exceed” company and customer expectation

Education/Certifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Sonography program
• Current ARDMS Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or ARRT (VS) registry – preferred
• Current license from state medical board (if applicable)
• Current CPR/BLS certification
