Job summary

Envision Imaging is seeking a PRN MRI Technologist to join our Utah team. The role supports MRI procedures across Bountiful and Draper locations with flexible, as-needed shifts.

Responsibilities include preparing patients, reviewing charts, obtaining prior films, and coordinating scan protocols with Radiology. Requires ARRT MR (or ARMRIT) certification, CPR, and current state licensure if applicable. Competitive hourly pay and benefits eligibility apply.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI procedures according to protocol and age-specific needs.
• Review patient charts for missed information and obtain consent.
• Obtain prior films and perform high-quality scans for radiologist interpretation.
• Care for patients before, during and after exams and monitor condition changes.
• Transfer images to other locations as needed.
• Coordinate scan protocols with Radiologist.
• Maintain and inspect equipment; report quality issues or deficiencies.
• Collaborate with Lead Technologist and Center/Area Manager on concerns.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job description

Envision Imaging is looking for a PRN MRI Technologist to join our team in Utah!
PRN (As-Needed) | Position Pay Range: $38.16 - $47.36
Shifts available between both Bountiful & Draper locations; open Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM

Summary/Objective

Performs MRI procedures according to protocol and age specific needs, including patient preparation. Maintains and monitors patient environment, adheres to safety procedures and contributes to the security and maintenance of the unit.

Essential Functions:

1. 1. Interfaces with patient to ascertain medical history and provides instructions and explanation of the procedure and/or exam to obtain the best possible image.
2. 2. Reviews patient charts for missed clinical information and/or consent. Screens patients for surgical and other implants, contrast allergies, etc.
3. 3. Obtains prior films/exams as needed and performs high quality scans to submit to the Radiologist for interpretation.
4. 4. Performs exams while attending to patient’s care before, during and following exam and notifies the appropriate party if patient’s condition changes at any time.
5. 5. Transfers images to other locations as needed.
6. 6. Coordinates scan protocols with Radiologist.
7. 7. Maintains and regularly inspects equipment and immediately reports any quality concerns as well as equipment failures or deficiencies.
8. 8. Interfaces with Lead Technologist & Center/Area Manager regarding any and all departmental concerns.
9. 9. Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervision responsibilities.

Work Environment

This job operates in an environmentally controlled outpatient clinical environment. Potential exposure to radiation, which is minimized by the use of Personal Protective Equipment. Possible exposure to bodily fluids, communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation and other conditions common to a medical office environment. Often requires work in cool, dimly lighted rooms.

Job Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications/Experience:

• Two plus years’ experience in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) – preferred
• Ability to educate patients on procedures being performed
• Detail oriented, self-motivated, a problem solver and a team player
• Ability to navigate multiple computer screens and browsers quickly and accurately
• Ability to excel in a very fast-pace team environment
• Ability to continuously “exceed” company and customer expectation
• Strong communication skills & professional demeanor

Education/Certifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Registered Technologist program
• Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification with Registry in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) or current American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT)
• Current license from state medical board (if applicable)
• Current CPR certification
