Qualifications

• ARDMS certification in a registry relevant to the department (OB/abdomen/neuro/breast/pediatric/vascular).
• BCLS/CPR certification for Healthcare Providers.
• Preferred: 1+ year of ultrasound experience in acute care or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic ultrasound examinations according to department protocols and physician orders.
• Reviews images for quality, accuracy, and completeness.
• Verifies patient identity, explains procedures, and ensures patient comfort and safety.
• Maintains ARDMS certification and modality-specific competencies.
• Practices infection prevention and sterile technique.
• Documents procedures and maintains accurate patient records.
• Operates ultrasound equipment and related systems effectively.
• Assists with training and mentoring students and staff as needed.
