Job summary

Munson Healthcare in Michigan is seeking a role to provide direct patient care and support within radiology and related departments. You will greet patients, take vital signs, assist with dressing and mobility, and help maintain a safe, clean environment.

You will assist technologists, nurses and radiologists with pre-procedure information, equipment setup, data entry, and coordination of patient flow while upholding radiation safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) or obtain within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and support: greet and assist patients and families, obtain vital signs, assist with dressing, transport or ambulate patients, ensure comfort and safety.
• Assist with radiologic procedures and workflow: support technologists, nurses, and radiologists with patient prep, orders and data entry, coordinate patient flow, and ensure safety standards.
• Perform departmental and communication tasks: stocking, supply checks, room and equipment cleaning, CREED checklists, respond to clinician and patient inquiries.

A Day inthe Life

• Provide Direct Patient Care & Support: Greet and assist patients and families, obtain vital signs, help with dressing/undressing, transport or ambulate patients, ensure comfort, and maintain a clean, stocked, and safe environment.
• Assist with Radiologic Procedures & Workflow: Support technologists, nurses, and radiologists with patient preparation, questionnaires, positioning, verifying orders, gathering required pre-procedure information, performing data entry, coordinating patient flow, and adhering to radiation and MRI safety standards.
• Perform Departmental & Communication Tasks: Handle stocking, supply checks, room/equipment cleaning, CREED checklists, errands, and respond to inquiries from clinicians, staff, and patients both in person and by phone.

Additional Information

Schedule: works PRN or as needed, 0-40 hours per week, 11am-11:30pm
