Job summary

Munson Healthcare in Cadillac, MI is seeking a licensed Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our Radiology team. You will perform radiopharmaceutical procedures, prepare patients, and ensure safety and accurate documentation from arrival to discharge.

Your role includes maintaining equipment, following safety protocols, and participating in continuing education to support high-quality patient care in a busy department.

Qualifications

• ARRT or NMTCB certification in good standing.
• Basic Life Support certification with annual renewal.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety protocols and maintain radiation safety standards; calibrate equipment and document receipt, use, storage, and disposal of radiopharmaceuticals per regulations.
• Care for patients from arrival to discharge with courtesy and discretion; explain procedures; assist with sterile techniques; respond effectively in emergencies.
• Maintain Nuclear Medicine rooms, stock and supplies, report malfunctions, and rotate to other procedures or equipment as required.
• Take on-call and holiday shifts; manage workload during high-volume periods; participate in continuing education.

Job Description

A Day inthe Life

• Ensure Safety & Compliance: Follow all safety protocols, use proper body mechanics, maintain radiation safety standards, calibrate equipment, perform radioisotope assays, and accurately document receipt, use, storage, and disposal of radiopharmaceuticals per state and federal regulations.
• Provide High-Quality Patient Care:Care for patients from arrival to discharge with courtesy and discretion; explain procedures; assist with sterile techniques; safely transfer and position patients; respond effectively in emergencies; and use sound judgment and tact in stressful situations.
• Maintain Equipment, Rooms & Supplies: Care for assigned Nuclear Medicine rooms, maintain stock and supplies, handle equipment professionally, report malfunctions, perform clerical tasks as needed, and rotate to additional procedures or equipment types when required.
• Support Department Operations & Professional Growth: Take on-call and holiday shifts, prioritize workload during high-volume periods, adapt procedures for non-standard situations, maintain accurate patient and exam documentation, and participate in continuing education opportunities.

Qualifications

What’s Required

• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) and in good standing.
• Basic Life Support Certificate maintain with annual renewal

Additional Information

Munson Healthcare requires all employees be vaccinated or have lab confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella.
