Job summary

Munson Healthcare Careers in Michigan seeks a patient care assistant to greet patients, obtain vital signs, assist with dressing, and transport patients, while maintaining a clean, safe care environment.

You will support radiologic procedures, coordinate orders, and communicate with clinicians to ensure smooth workflow. Schedule is PRN or as needed, 0–40 hours per week, 11am–11:30pm; vaccination is required for all employees.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Preferred: 2 Year / associate degree.
• Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) or obtain within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide Direct Patient Care & Support: Greet and assist patients and families, obtain vital signs, help with dressing/undressing, transport or ambulate patients, ensure comfort, and maintain a clean, stocked, and safe environment.
• Assist with Radiologic Procedures & Workflow: Support technologists, nurses, and radiologists with patient preparation, questionnaires, positioning, verifying orders, gathering required pre-procedure information, performing data entry, coordinating patient flow, and adhering to radiation and MRI safety standards.
• Perform Departmental & Communication Tasks: Handle stocking, supply checks, room/equipment cleaning, CREED checklists, errands, and respond to inquiries from clinicians, staff, and patients both in person and by phone.
