Job summary

Aspen Valley Health is currently hiring a PRN Surgical Technologist in the Surgery department. The role includes maintaining sterile fields, preparing ORs, and collaborating with the perioperative team to uphold AORN standards.

Minimum qualifications require a Colorado license (or ability to obtain) and BLS. Preferred qualifications include 2 years of OR experience and CST/TS-C NBSTSA certification; Spanish language skills are a plus. This PRN position offers various AVH programs and benefits.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted license to practice as a Surgical Technologist (ST) in Colorado, or ability to obtain prior to start date
• Basic Life Support (BLS). May be obtained upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintains sterile field and instrumentation for all surgical procedures.
• Prepares the operating room and supplies for each surgical case in a neat and efficient manner.
• Communicates with all other members of the Perioperative team to give the highest standard of care according to AORN standards for patients in the intraoperative period.
• The ST works collaboratively with co-workers, stocks and orders of supplies for department.
• The ST provides additional supportive patient care as directed by others.
