Job summary

Aspen Valley Health is hiring a full-time Surgical Technologist in our Surgery department. The role maintains sterile fields, prepares the OR, and collaborates with the Perioperative team to deliver high-quality care in line with AVH standards.

Eligible new hires may receive a sign-on bonus up to $15,000. Compensation includes daily shifts with potential differential for night and weekend work, and final pay is based on experience and credentials.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted Surgical Technologist license in CO or ability to obtain before start date.
• BLS certification (may be obtained on hire).
• 2 years OR experience preferred.
• Surgical Technologist certification (NCCT TS-C or NBSTSA CST) preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains sterile field and instrumentation for all surgical procedures.
• Prepares the operating room and supplies for each surgical case in a neat and efficient manner.
• Communicates with the Perioperative team to uphold high standard of care.
• Stocks and orders supplies for the department.
• Provides additional supportive patient care as directed by others.

Job description

We are currently hiring for a full time Surgical Technologist within the Surgery department here at Aspen Valley Health. Work Shift: Days - 10 Hour Compensation Range: $32.45 - $51.91 Night and weekend shift differentials up to $10 per hour! Eligible new hires may qualify for a sign on bonus up to $15,000. The compensation range listed is an estimate. Final compensation will be determined based on your qualifications including years of experience performing similar work, level of formal education in a relevant field of study, and any professional certifications related to the position.

Requirements

• Unrestricted license to practice as a Surgical Technologist (ST) in the State of Colorado, or ability to obtain prior to start date
• Basic Life Support (BLS). May be obtained upon hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 years recent O.R. experience preferred.
• Surgical Technologist certification (NCCT TS-C or NBSTSA CST) preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Position Overview

Maintains sterile field and instrumentation for all surgical procedures. Prepares the operating room and supplies for each surgical case in a neat and efficient manner. The Surgical Technologist (ST) will communicate with all other members of the Perioperative team to give the highest standard of care according to AORN standards for patients in the intraoperative period. The ST works collaboratively with co-workers, stocks and orders of supplies for department. The ST provides additional supportive patient care as directed by others.
