PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
Performs scrub and circulating duties during interventional procedures according to USV/FMS policies and procedures. Assists with preparation of the procedure room, inventory, and stocking of supplies in the procedure room and stock room.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists with the maintenance and setup of the procedure room in compliance with FMCNA/USV policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Stocks the procedure room and trays with all necessary supplies and equipment before procedures.
- Cleans the procedure room and equipment post-procedure.
- Prepares patients for procedures by positioning, shaving, and prepping as needed.
- Prepares and administers medications within scope and regulations.
- Performs patient transfers, positioning, and transports to and from the procedure room.
- Acts as scrub assistant during interventional procedures under fluoroscopy, maintaining sterile technique.
- Draws up and labels intravenous medications per policies.
- Performs circulating duties in the procedure room.
- Maintains patient confidentiality per HIPAA policies.
- Ensures the environment is clean, sanitary, and safe daily; inspects and maintains equipment.
- Performs minor repairs and reports issues.
- Assists with sterilization and packaging of surgical instruments.
- Prepares and organizes supplies to prevent wastage.
- Supports quality standards and regulatory compliance, participating in CQI activities.
- Implements quality goals and facility action plans.
- Maintains records accurately.
- Provides clerical support, ensuring availability of instruments and equipment, and may assist with imaging and training.
- Handles inventory, ordering, and restocking supplies.
- Processes and archives patient images as per policies.
- Participates in regulatory and accreditation surveys.
- Assists with marketing and promoting FVC services within the territory, working with sales and clinical teams.
- Supports relationship building with current and potential clients, researching local markets.
- Maintains knowledge of services and competitors.
- Serves as customer liaison between clinics and FVC centers.
- May work evenings and weekends as needed.
- Ensures compliance with company policies, laws, and regulations.
- Supports various projects as assigned.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Includes desk work, patient interaction, and work in a healthcare environment with temperature control and moderate noise.
- May be exposed to infectious materials; must lift, push, pull up to 50 pounds, and stand for extended periods.
- Travel up to 50% within the region may be required.
EDUCATION:
- High School Diploma required.
- Surgical Technologist Certification preferred.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
- 1-2 years' related experience preferred.
- Previous patient care experience preferred.
- Knowledge of interventional equipment, procedures, and sterile techniques.
- Experience with C-Arm and ultrasound equipment preferred.
- Understanding of universal precautions and radiology safety.
- Must complete BLS certification successfully.
