Job summary

Texas Health Denton is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for Labor and Delivery on a PRN basis. The role requires CST certification, OB/OR experience, and BCLS, with a strong emphasis on safety and infection control.

Work location is at 3000 North I-35, Denton, TX 76201. Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent and graduate from an accredited surgical technology program; military training in surgical tech is also acceptable.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program or military training in surgical tech.
• One year OR experience preferred; labor and delivery experience preferred.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST NBSTSA) or equivalent; OB surgical theater exposure.

Responsibilities

• Intra-operatively demonstrates skills for favorable outcomes in labor and delivery cases.
• Assist perioperative nursing care and coordinate patient care peri-operatively.
• Assist RN circulator with preop, intraop, and post-op tasks as needed.
• Maintain infection prevention and safety standards in the OR.
• Support age-specific patient care across neonates to geriatric patients.
