Job summary

Texas Health Resources in Denton, TX seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist (PRN CST) for Labor and Delivery. You will assist in perioperative care across infants to adults and support the RN circulator pre- and post-operatively, aiming for safe, quality outcomes.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited CST program, CST certification (NBSTSA/NCCT), and BCLS. Prior OR and L&D experience preferred; LVN path allowed upon hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited surgery technology program or military training in surgical tech.
• CST certification (NBSTSA) or TS-C (NCCT) required.
• 1 year OR experience preferred; Labor and Delivery experience preferred.
• BCLS certification required prior to independent patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assist intra-operatively and support peri-operative care.
• Assist RN circulator preoperatively in plan of care.
• Maintain infection prevention and safety standards.
• Ensure proper handling of instruments, supplies and equipment post-operatively.
• Demonstrate age-specific care across patient populations.
