Job summary

CCRM Fertility in Menlo Park, CA is seeking a Surgery Center Scrub Technician for PRN shifts. You will support the surgical team by maintaining a sterile field, preparing instruments, and anticipating the surgeon's needs during procedures.

Requirements include a High School Diploma, ARC/STSA-certified Surgical Technologist, BLS, and 1+ year OR experience. This role offers overtime opportunities and a focus on safe, high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Surgical Technologist certification from ARC/STSA, aCAAHEP-accredited program, required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain/check supplies and equipment for surgical procedures and alert nurse manager if consumables are needed.
• Prepare the surgical table, blocks, mayo stand with instruments, supplies, equipment, meds, and solutions for each procedure.
• Perform instrument counts with circulator before incision and before wound closure.
• Maintain sterile field and provide instruments to the surgeon during procedures; prepare sterile dressings.
• Prepare instruments for terminal sterilization and assist with weekly OR cleaning.
• Assist with patient check-in, surgery scheduling, post-op follow-up, and patient transfers.
