Davenport Ambulatory Surgery Center is seeking an experienced PRN Surgical Scrub Technologist to join our team. The incumbent will anticipate the needs of the surgical team, establish and maintain a sterile field, and report to the Clinical Director/Administrator.

Responsibilities include ensuring sterility of supplies, assisting the team, performing instrument counts, gowning/gloving surgeons, and supporting infection control and safety protocols in a fast-paced operating room environment.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or GED with completion of a Scrub Technician Program.
• Two years experience as a Scrub Tech in multiple specialties or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to anatomy and surgical procedures.

Mansioni

• Ensure sterility of all supplies and instruments during setup of surgical procedures.
• Assist circulating nurse and surgical team in maintaining sterile environment.
• Assist circulating nurse in gathering necessary surgical supplies and equipment.
• Perform counts of sponges, needles, and instruments pre- and intra-operatively with the circulating nurse.
• Gown and glove surgeons and assistants.
• Keep physician preference cards accurate/updated.
