Job summary

Physician's Surgery Center of Chattanooga, a community outpatient surgical center, seeks a PRN Registered Nurse to support the surgical team and deliver high-quality patient care throughout the perioperative journey.

The RN will assess patients, administer pre-op meds, monitor vitals, assist in procedures, provide post-op care, educate families, and ensure infection control while maintaining accurate records in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Tennessee RN license active.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Minimum 2 years in a surgical or perioperative setting.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Commitment to patient safety and high-quality care.

Responsibilities

• Assess and triage patients on arrival to the surgery center.
• Administer pre-operative medications and ensure patient readiness.
• Monitor vital signs and respond to changes during surgery.
• Assist the surgical team and maintain a sterile field.
• Provide post-operative care and manage pain control.
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care instructions.
• Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, and healthcare staff.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Follow infection control protocols and safety standards.
