Job summary

NORTHSTAR is seeking a Staff Occupational Therapist to evaluate and treat patients, collaborate with families and physicians, and maintain accurate documentation. The role involves supervising COTAs, training staff, and participating in care conferences within a facility setting.

Qualifications include a state license, a Bachelor's in OT (Masters/Doctorate preferred), and proficiency with Casamba and Point Click Care. Strong communication and documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy; Masters/Doctorate preferred.
• Licensed as an Occupational Therapist in the state; maintain CE requirements.
• Proficient with Casamba and Point Click Care for documentation.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients within 24 hours or 1 business day of referral; document delays with justification.
• Develop treatment plans and obtain approval from referring physician.
• Treat patients per the physician plan; supervise COTA and trainees.
• Record evaluations and progress notes in medical records as required by state practice act.
• Provide staff training and participate in care conferences and rehabilitation meetings.
