Job summary

State of Georgia is seeking an Hourly Speech Therapist for Georgia Regional Hospital - Atlanta in Decatur, GA. Position is PRN up to 29 hours weekly with a $55.00 per hour rate.

Responsibilities include evaluating and treating hearing, speech, language, and related disorders, and coordinating with an interdisciplinary team. Must hold a Master’s Degree and CCC-E with clinical experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree and CCC-E are required.
• At least 3 years of clinical experience in a related setting.
• Experience with developmental delay and mental health patients.

Responsibilities

• Administers hearing or speech/language evaluations using specialized tools.
• Communicates with non-speaking students using sign language or tech.
• Counsels and instructs clients to improve hearing or speech.
• Develops speech exercise programs to reduce disabilities.
• Evaluates disorders and plans treatment with care teams.
• Fits and dispenses assistive devices like hearing aids.
• Maintains client records at all stages and monitors progress.
• Plans treatment programs and consults with physicians and nurses.
