Job summary

Liberty Center is hiring a PRN Speech Therapist to provide rehabilitation services to our patients in the Philadelphia area. The Speech Therapist will organize and conduct therapy programs to improve communication and swallowing functions in our care setting.

Qualifications include graduation from an accredited Speech Therapy program, a current MD state license, and experience in acute care, outpatient, or home health settings. We offer competitive wages, PTO, and comprehensive insurance plans.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Speech Therapy Program.
• Current MD State Speech Therapy License.
• Experience in Assisted Living settings preferred.
• Proven exceptional customer service and patient care experience.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Minimum of one-year experience in an acute care facility, outpatient setting, community health service or Home Health agency in the past two years as a Speech Therapist preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients to evaluate their levels of speech or language difficulty.
• Determine the extent of communication problems by having a patient complete basic reading and vocalizing tasks or by giving standardized tests.
• Identify, create, and carry out an individualized treatment plan.
• Teach patients how to make sounds and improve their voices.
• Work with patients to develop and strengthen the muscles used to swallow.

Education
