LifeSpan Therapy in Paoli, Indiana, is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for PRN coverage. The role focuses on assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, and swallowing disorders within a multidisciplinary team.

You will develop personalized treatment plans, support residents’ communication goals, and contribute to their overall independence and well-being. LifeSpan emphasizes growth through internal leadership paths and ongoing education.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed therapist who is a graduate of an accredited school.
• Must have a valid Indiana Operator's license and be able to travel occasionally to other locations if needed to provide therapy coverage.
• Basic computer literacy for documentation and communication purposes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of residents' speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing abilities.
• Coordinate admission/discharge to speech therapy with the Interdisciplinary Team, Restorative Care Nurse and staff nurses.
• Provide therapy to residents under specific medical orders and in collaboration with the Interdisciplinary Care Plan Team.
• Monitor resident progress and adjust therapy techniques as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on communication strategies and therapeutic exercises to support ongoing improvement.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of resident evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including physicians, occupational therapists, and physical therapists, to coordinate resident care.
