HCA HealthONE Presbyterian St. Luke's is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide skilled therapy to patients in an acute care setting. The role emphasizes evidence-based care and teamwork with rehab staff to support patient progress and independence.

The therapist will evaluate and treat communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders, documenting progress and coordinating with the care team for smooth transitions. PRN hours vary with patient needs.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree required.
• Licensed as Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) within 30 days of employment start date.
• Acute Care experience requested.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating communication, cognitive, and swallowing abilities using structured assessments and observations.
• Developing and adjusting individualized treatment plans for communication and safe swallowing.
• Documenting evaluations, daily notes, progress updates, and discharge summaries with accuracy and timeliness.
• Educating patients and families on therapy goals, safety, home strategies, and expected progress.
• Collaborating with physicians, nursing teams, rehabilitation staff, and care managers to support coordinated care.
