UVA Community Health in Culpeper, VA is seeking a Speech Therapist (PRN) to provide therapy services, evaluate patients, and develop plans of care in a non-exempt role. Responsibilities include documenting outcomes and collaborating with the care team.

The position supports education and training for staff and may involve travel between facilities. Virginia licensure and ASHA certification requirements apply.

Formación

• Master’s Degree in SLP from an accredited program.
• Virginia State Speech Pathology License or Compact Privilege required; ASHA certification or completion within 15 months of hire.

Responsabilidades

• Provide therapy services including evaluation, plan of care, treatment, education, and documentation.
• Supervise therapy assistants, technicians, students, and volunteers as applicable.
• Communicate with other health care providers regarding client care and treatment plans.
• Provide training and education for hospital staff as requested.
• Complete patient documentation to meet regulatory and organizational requirements.
• Attend continuing education programs and present findings to staff.
• Review insurance authorization requirements for patients in a timely manner.
• Assist with performance improvement for rehab department and hospital.
• Understand use and precautions of treatments and equipment used.
• Positively contribute to departmental financial performance/productivity.
