Job summary

MedStar National Rehabilitation Hospital in Washington, DC is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (PRN) to join our multidisciplinary team. The role includes screening, evaluation, treatment planning, implementation, re-evaluation, discharge planning, and thorough documentation.

The SLP will collaborate with other professionals, provide education to patients and families, and participate in program development. MD/DC/VA licensure and ASHA CCC are required.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Completion of CFY.
• MD/DC/VA licensure as required for the location.
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).

Responsibilities

• Provide evaluation and documentation; explain findings to patient and family.
• Implement treatment protocols; adjust plans with the team as needed.
• Complete discharge planning and ensure accurate charting.
• Maintain scheduling efficiency and professional patient access to care.
• Pursue continuing education; mentor students and staff.
