Job summary

MedStar National Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking a PRN Speech Language Pathologist to evaluate, plan, and administer therapy aligned with physician orders for patients of all ages. You will supervise techs and students and contribute to patient, family, and community education.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree in Speech Therapy, BLS, and 1–2 years of experience; must be licensed in Washington, DC and ready to work in a fast-paced hospital setting in the Baltimore–Washington region.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech Therapy.
• Basic Life Support (BLS).
• 1-2 years' experience preferred.
• Licensed Speech Therapist in Washington, D.C.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient evaluations and develops treatment programs per physician orders for inpatients and outpatients.
• Provides patient and caregiver instruction and education.
• Collaborates with PT/OT/nursing and physicians to coordinate care.
• Maintains documentation and ensures compliance with regulations and standards.
• Assists in staff training and acts as a clinical instructor for students.
