Job summary

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech Therapy.
• Basic Life Support (BLS).
• 1-2 years' experience preferred.
• Licensed Speech Therapist in Washington, D.C.

Responsibilities

• Performs initial evaluations and sets up treatment programs for patients of all ages in accordance with physician orders and standard procedures.
• Provides teaching and instruction to patients, family members and staff; serves as a clinical instructor for students.
• Maintains current knowledge, certification, and licensure; attends continuing education and mandatory trainings.
• Collaborates with PT/OT, nursing, and physicians; documents patient status and progress in medical records.
• Identifies equipment needs and coordinates patient care with interdisciplinary teams.
