Job summary

Knoxville Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist for PRN/As Needed Monday and weekday coverage. You will evaluate swallowing and speech-language needs, develop and implement a plan of care, and educate patients and families about progress.

The role includes supervising students and fellows in an inpatient rehabilitation environment. The position requires a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Tennessee licensure, and BLS within 60 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist; TN Board licensure current.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and treats swallowing, speech-language and therapy needs.
• Performs initial and ongoing assessments and designs a care plan.
• Educates patients and families about treatment plans and progress.
• Plans and assists with patient discharge from therapy services.
• Supervises clinical fellows, students, and support personnel.
