Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare North Cypress is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist PRN to join its rehabilitation team. You will evaluate and treat patients with communication, cognitive and swallowing disorders using evidence-based care.

You will document and communicate progress, educate families, and coordinate with physicians and care teams to ensure smooth transitions and optimal outcomes in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Requires Texas SLP licensure and BLS certification.
• Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required; Master's degree preferred.
• One year of related experience required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates communication, cognitive, and swallowing abilities using structured assessments and observations.
• Develops and adjusts individualized treatment plans for communication clarity and safe swallowing.
• Documents evaluations, daily notes, progress updates, and discharge summaries with accuracy.
• Educates patients and families on goals, safety, home strategies and expected progress.
• Collaborates with physicians, nursing, rehabilitation staff and care managers to support coordinated care.
