Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Southeast in Pasadena, Texas is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for PRN coverage. You will help patients improve communication, cognition, and swallowing, working with a supportive rehabilitation team.

The role emphasizes clear caseloads, evidence-based care, and collaboration with physicians, nurses, and care managers to ensure safe, timely transitions.

Qualifications

• Licensed SLP in the state(s) of practice as required by law.
• CCC preferred; licensure per state may be required.
• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate communication, cognitive, and swallowing abilities using assessments.
• Develop and adjust individualized treatment plans.
• Document evaluations and progress notes with accuracy.
• Educate patients and families on goals and home strategies.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing and rehab staff for coordinated care.
