Job summary

Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence, MO is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for PRN coverage to assess, treat, and educate patients across acute care, inpatient rehab, and outpatient settings.

The role includes developing goals, coordinating with care teams, supervising therapy aides and students, and delivering patient- and family-centered care. Missouri license and CCC/eligibility preferred; BLS required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech–Language Pathology.
• CCC or eligibility for clinical fellowship per ASHA.
• Missouri State professional license or license-eligible.
• BLS certification as required.
• One year of work experience or clinical internship preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and establish treatment goals for patients in Acute Care, Inpatient Rehab, and/or Outpatient.
• Coordinate the treatment program with other clinical services.
• Develop comprehensive goals to maximize patient outcomes.
• Deliver care and modify the care plan as needed.
• Educate patients, families, students, and colleagues.
