Job summary

LifeSpan Therapy is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for PRN work in Morristown, Indiana. The role focuses on assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, and swallowing disorders while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Licensed therapist with licensure valid in Indiana.
• Valid Indiana Operator's license and ability to travel between locations.
• Basic computer literacy for documentation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of residents' speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing abilities.
• Coordinate admission/discharge to speech therapy with the Interdisciplinary Team and nursing staff.
• Provide therapy to residents under medical orders and with the Interdisciplinary Care Plan Team.
• Monitor resident progress and adjust therapy techniques to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on communication strategies and exercises.
• Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, plans, and progress per regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with physicians, OTs, and PTs to coordinate resident care.
